What’s happening?

Jacksons Lane has a range of projects to suit all ages and interests. Whether you are looking for an after-school activity or want to get involved with a Haringey-based over-55s community group, we have you covered.

Young People

We have plenty to offer for young people wanting to get involved with the art of circus. We do not hold auditions for any of our programmes, and are committed to making each session accessible for every young person we work with.

Jacksons Lane Youth Circus

Jacksons Lane Youth Circus offers free weekly classes and theatre sessions to young people in Haringey out of school hours. These sessions culminate in our annual JL Circus Showcase, where young people are able to create stories and perform the best circus tricks they’ve learnt on a professional theatrical stage.

The JL Youth Board is formed of a core group of JL Circus participants and offers a platform for young people’s voices: a creative and interactive space to shape the future development of JL Circus.

Older Adults and Intergenerational Projects

Our programming for Haringey-based adults has been hailed as reducing isolation and increasing engagement in the community for all.

Warm Welcome

This winter we are taking part in the Haringey Warm Welcome, offering anyone who wishes a warm place to go, with no obligations.

Lockdown Lunch

Following on from our decades-long tradition of Thursday lunches at Jacksons Lane, guests join our facilitator for a warm and weekly artistic exchange via Zoom.

Lockdown Lunch has become many things: a writing group, an impetus to stay creatively energised throughout the week and a place to make and meet with friends.

Feeling Good

Feeling Good match-makes isolated older adults with a volunteer to form a meaningful companionship. 

The project has created more than 100 pairings since beginning in 2021.

Christmas Day

Our showpiece event for older adults.

Christmas Day at Jacksons Lane consists of welcoming older adults who would otherwise be alone for a festive celebration, and has been going on for over 45 years.
