We’re hosting an Edinburgh Fringe Preview Season from July 15-28 2024, and are currently welcoming applications for one night previews of circus and theatre this July, for work going to the Edinburgh Fringe.

- Contemporary Circus
- Physical and visual theatre (meaning largely but not exclusively non-text based, and including puppetry and object manipulation)
- Theatre and performance for children and families 0-8 years
In the past we have programmed a certain level of dance and cabaret also. We do not programme plays, or accept script proposals
Where always possible we pay guaranteed fees, often against a box office split. Please bear in mind our capacity is 168 seats, or 130 with the stage extension.
Performances are usually between 1 and 3 nights.
We support/co-produce an amount of circus work each year through space, mentoring, fundraising advice and technical support.
For international work other subsidy is always required from embassies, trusts etc – we cannot pay flights or accommodation.
Circus residencies are offered in August each year as part of our Transmission programme.
We programme around 6 months ahead, often further.
