Writing Our Stories With Steve Harper24 Feb 7.00pm
This free online workshop will offer a fun and easy introduction to writing. Absolutely no experience is needed. It will be a great opportunity to try out some basic writing exercises and to think about the story you might want to tell. A story you can write for others to tell. We will chat about ways in which we might want to tell our stories and what those stories might be, before finally using some of what we have learned to start to write them. It can be something you might finish by the end of the session or start as an ongoing venture. The size of our stories doesn't matter, the sharing of them does. There is the opportunity to verbally tell your stories too, you don’t need to write them down.
Steve heads the Literary Department of Theatre503. In the 14 years he has worked at the venue he has been responsible for identifying and supporting over 1,000 debut playwrights and helping to start their career. He has developed an outstanding reputation for matchmaking writers, directors and producers including putting together the team that delivered the Olivier Award-winning Rotterdam.
