Raven

Still Hungry & Bryony Kimmings

21 Sep 22 Sep
Still Hungry team up with director Bryony Kimmings, using circus, theatre and dance to explore modern motherhood.

Because raven chicks leave the nest even before they can fly, it’s sometimes thought that they’re anxious to get away from mothers who don’t take good care of them. The term ‘Rabenmutter’ or ‘raven mother’ is used to refer to absent, neglectful, cruel or uncaring mothers.

Drawing on their own experiences as mothers, Still Hungry ask: is there a raven inside of me?

Still Hungry is a contemporary circus collective from Berlin made up of Romy, Anke and Lena, who have united after years of friendship to create Raven. Their fresh, forceful and feminist work uses humour, strong imagery, and versatile language of movement.
