Insomniac’s Fable

Sold Out
A man who can’t sleep dares to dream.

In a twisting and erratic landscape an insomniac meets his dream woman. Guided by obscure ancient etchings and a bluesy, baroque, electro soundtrack, the dancer and the juggler navigate the realities – or unrealities – of love.

Insomniac's Fable is performed by internationally distinguished circus artist Sakari Männistö and dancer Emma Lister, principal at English Youth Ballet for 10 years. It was choreographed by Ludovic Ondiviela, whose past work includes shows with the Royal Ballet and Gandini Juggling (4x4 Ephemeral Architectures, in which Emma and Sakari also performed, called “jaw-dropping … a show of elegant, wistful beauty” by the Guardian).

Like Vertigo with the male gaze subverted; like Inception without the budget; like circus and ballet and unlike either.

A UK premiere.
