Here Lies Shakespeare

Les Antliaclastes (France)

11 Jan 15 Jan
A cast of taxidermied animals in Elizabethan attire makes a puppet contribution to the perennial Shakespeare debate.

Freely adapted from Is Shakespeare Dead? by Mark Twain, Here Lies Shakespeare is a comic tragedy comprising prologue, three short satirical stories, and an epilogue, based on themes surrounding the continually raging Shakespeare authorship debate.

There will be a post-show Q&A on Sat 14 Jan.

Here Lies Shakespeare is a part of London International Mime Festival (LIMF) 2017. Now in its 40th year, LIMF promotes cutting edge visual theatre and embraces a dazzling spectrum of performance including new circus, puppetry, physical theatre and live art.
