“I’m not just an object. I’ve made a choice. To be here, to be tied, and not to deny my sexuality.”

An art curator discovers her daughter has amassed thousands of Instagram followers by posting semi-naked pictures of herself. Is this freedom of expression or exploitation? Art or pornography? What’s the difference?

Featuring aerial circus and shibari, a form of Japanese rope bondage, Everything I See I Swallow is a captivating exploration of the changing landscape of feminism. Shifting generational attitudes to sexual empowerment and the blurred line between protection and control are staged through the lens of a unique mother-daughter dynamic.

Fresh from the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Shasha & Taylor Productions bring their debut show Everything I See I Swallow to Jacksons Lane as part of an autumn 2019 tour.
