Oral Histories
Peter Phipps has been coming to Jacksons Lane for nearly 50 years and lived in the area all his life. He has been involved in various ways, including serving on several voluntary committees, playing the piano on Christmas Day since it began and describes Jacksons Lane as a place he knows very well and has been deeply connected to for decades. His first memory of Jacksons Lane was seeing it’s windows blasted out when a bomb landed nearby during World War II.
This interview was conducted on 7th July 2025 by Marie Horner, Oral History Project Producer at Jacksons Lane.
