Natalia Cid Garcia

Oral Histories

Natalia Sid Garcia, our Head of Creative Engagement, was born in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. She lived in Moscow for ten years, studying Russian and working at the Spanish Embassy, before heading to London to study Arts Management at City University. She joined Jacksons Lane in 2015 as an education officer, where she developed youth programmes and social lunches for older adults. Natalia chats about the old building’s redevelopment to improve the acoustics and accessibility. The team and community were all involved in the consultation process, focusing on better storage and access. Natalia talks about how Jacksons Lane supports disadvantaged areas in Haringey and during the pandemic we started a befriending scheme for older adults and ramped up our youth programme activities.

This interview was conducted on 23rd April 2025 by Marie Horner, Oral History Project Producer at Jacksons Lane.
