LAUNCH is the platform of work that gives young people new skills, opportunities and pathways into employment.
Are you aged 16 to 25? Thinking about a career in theatre? Want to make your own work?
As part of our LAUNCH programme, Jacksons Lane is running weekly sessions exploring various devising techniques, in which participants will be offered creative tools and space to experiment with their own artistic voice.
Under the direction of professional actor and facilitator Nell Hardy, you will be given frameworks within which to experiment with your own ideas, and in collaboration with your fellow participants. We will be presenting ‘scratch’ performances of some of your work at intervals to be defined by the group, giving you the chance to work at your own pace.
This is an exciting opportunity to find new artistic connections, make mistakes, communicate, and above all CREATE!
Sessions are at Jacksons Lane from 6-8pm on Mondays starting from 23rd September. To register, please e-mail [email protected].
If you are interested in a career in the arts then you need to get involved with LAUNCH, Jacksons Lane's theatre company where we raise young people’s awareness of careers in theatre. It’s not just about performing, but being aware of the many roles that make a performance happen, from marketing to stage management.
Our LAUNCH projects raise awareness of other arts opportunities and increase young people’s confidence in being a part of theatre.
This has given me links and I would not have had such an amazing experience
LAUNCH Project opportunities include:
- Being part of the JL Youth Board
- Being part of the committee of the Haringey Youth Festival as part of a team organising an event for over 300 people.
- Benefitting from mentoring and Arts Award opportunities.
If you are between the ages of 16 and 19 and would like to be part of the company please email [email protected]
This year our NT Connections programme is supported by the D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust, Haringey Council and Arts Council England.
Launch helped me interact more with people, feel confident in drama and fit in more
