LAUNCH Update: NT Connections 2018
Aged between 16-19 and want to be in a new play for young people?
We are looking for our new LAUNCH NT Connections Company “TRANSMISSION” for the 2018 National Theatre “Connections” Festival, the National Theatre’s annual festival of new plays for youth theatres and schools. It gives young people experience of professional theatre-making.
Last year our young people performed the play “Extremism”, by Anders Lustgarten, at Finchley Youth Theatre, Jacksons Lane and the Soho Theatre in London’s West End. They were also asked by the National Theatre take part in a workshop with playwright In-Sook Chappell for her new play. This took place at the National Theatre’s rehearsal studios.
If you are aged 16-19 and interested in being a part of our LAUNCH project for 2018 and being part of NT Connections then please do get in contact with our LAUNCH: NT Connections Director Eleanor Hardy at [email protected] or by calling 020 8340 5226.
Rehearsals begin September 2017 and will take place between 5pm and 7pm on Mondays.
If you are interested in a career in the arts then you need to get involved with LAUNCH, Jacksons Lane's theatre company where we raise young people’s awareness of careers in theatre. It’s not just about performing, but being aware of the many roles that make a performance happen, from marketing to stage management.
Our LAUNCH projects raise awareness of other arts opportunities and increase young people’s confidence in being a part of theatre.
This has given me links and I would not have had such an amazing experience
