Produced by Highly Sprung, Physical Fellowship creates a professional platform for young people to experience physical theatre by seeing, doing, and making. Now expanding nationally, the Fellowship brings together emerging performers, school students, professional artists, and training organisations to elevate the next generation of physical theatre practitioners.
Physical Fellowship National London works with four North London secondary schools alongside students from Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company, creating a unique meeting point between first encounters with physical theatre and professional training. The festival provides space for young people to perform on a professional stage, take part in workshops with leading physical theatre artists and organisations, and access insight into creative careers, building clear routes into further participation and training.
Physical Fellowship recognises the specific skills, confidence, and physicality required to make physical theatre. It responds to the growing demand for physically trained performers across theatre and live performance, while widening access for young people who might otherwise never encounter physical theatre.
