As a leading comedy venue since the 1980s — which helped launch the careers of Eddie Izzard, The Mighty Boosh, Shappi Khorsandi, Micky Flanagan and many more — Jacksons Lane welcomes the return of a new regular comedy night, featuring both established acts and the stars of tomorrow.

More stand-up Comedy Club fun to start the Summer season featuring some of the finest stand-up comedians from the UK comedy circuit.

This months’ delights are Archie Madodox, Spring Day, Mike Cox and MC’d by one out all times faves – Mr Ben van Der Velde!

Ben Van der Velde
A stand-up comedian, actor, improviser and presenter. Over the past few years, has spread joy and nonsense to all four corners of the British Isles, as well as Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Norway.

Outside the circuit, Ben has performed a voodoo re-marriage ceremony, founded the Church of the Holy Kazoo with comedy legend Mark Thomas, and walked the entire London Underground network to raise money for The Refugee Council.

Spring Day
As seen on BBC’s Live at The Apollo, Spring Day is an American stand-up comedian, writer and actor now based in London.

Spring’s uniquely acerbic and sassy style of comedy is always a crowd pleaser, or shocker… A Fluent Japanese speaker and a mild cerebral palsy haver, Spring began her career headlining at the Tokyo Comedy Store. Now a permanent fixture is the best stand up clubs in the UK we’re delighted that Spring will be coming to Cheltenham – and you will be too.

Archie Maddocks
Armed with a natural stage presence, and a “winning smile”, Archie possesses an affable and likeable nature that immediately puts people at ease. He has impressed both his peers and audiences with his charismatic, conversational style, hilarious observations and quick, acerbic wit.

Archie has a gift for storytelling and often recounts his past experiences on stage, sometimes ending up with absurd consequences. He regularly proves an instant hit with audiences, having beaten the gong at both Comedy Stores (London and Manchester) on his first try. His charming persona results in people left hugely impressed and wanting to see more.

Mike Cox
Cox has been performing comedy since 2011 and quickly made his mark on the comedy scene with his sharp witted observational style which saw him crowned South Coast Comedian of the Year in 2014 and the Not So New Comedian of the Year in 2022.

Mike also made the final of the prestigious Amused Moose Laugh Off in 2016 and British Comedian of the Year 2023.

He can be seen at comedy clubs up and down the UK.
