After almost half a century of transforming lives through our unique combination of culture and communities, Jacksons Lane is about to go through significant changes.

A major redevelopment project, designed by architects Citizens Design Bureau, will completely re-imagine our home on Archway Road; our historic building will be made new again, providing an extraordinary cultural experience for everyone.

Our home is a Grade II-listed Edwardian building, originally a Methodist church. First opened in 1905, it’s no longer suitable for long-term future use unless we carry out major redevelopment work. Otherwise, our work with communities and artistic excellence will be at risk.

Our biggest priorities are to:

  • Make our building fully physically accessible
  • Create dynamic, properly equipped studio spaces that help users push boundaries of artistic excellence
  • Welcome new generations of visitors, sparking their curiosity and inspiring them to return over and over again
  • Make ourselves financially and environmentally sustainable for the future

With better spaces, facilities and access, Jacksons Lane will provide even more for the huge number of people of all ages and backgrounds who use our building every day; we can transform many more lives from all of the communities we engage.

Jacksons Lane is unique, with a distinctive offering, progressive ethos and welcoming character unlike any other arts venue. This redevelopment project will not change this – rather, it will allow us to broadcast these core values more clearly and more widely.

We’re incredibly grateful to both Arts Council England and the London Borough of Haringey, who have contributed over £3m towards the project. Jacksons Lane is also contributing its own funds and receiving support from trusts and foundations.

We need your help to make this transformation happen. Your support will ensure Jacksons Lane bursts with activity morning, noon and night, offering a vibrant artistic programme and creative learning opportunities for all.
