Archive and Oral Histories Volunteering

Founded by members of the local community in 1975, Jacksons Lane has gone on to become a flagship arts and cultural centre in Haringey.

To mark this significant anniversary, Jacksons Lane has received funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to help preserve and celebrate its heritage, paving the way for the next 50 years. This work includes building our archive to be deposited at Bruce Castle Museum, and conducting oral history interviews to preserve stories from those involved in Jacksons Lane throughout the last 50 years.

As this work takes place, we will celebrate the many communities who have shaped Jacksons Lane’s past and present through a large-scale memory collection project, a new pop-up exhibition platforming our story, and heritage programming for older adults, schools and communities through Socials, Explore Heritage Workshops and Open Heritage Days.

We are seeking a dedicated team of volunteers to support this work whilst learning valuable heritage skills and gaining experience of the sector.
