This Christmas, a magical production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears comes to Jacksons Lane from Sat 30 Nov to Christmas Eve. Combining the delightful fun of the original tale with new twists and turns, this enchanting production provides a hearty dose of festive fun for children aged 3+ and their families.
Goldilocks sees the return of producers Hiccup Theatre and Derby Theatre, creators of last year’s acclaimed Christmas production. Stand-out features of this year’s production include original live music, hilariously energetic performances and a cleverly eco-friendly set design – made using ‘upcycled’ materials gathered by the three bears.
Dan McGarry and Karen Young perform as the delightful Daddy Bear and Mummy Bear, coming against an interfering Goldilocks, played by Isobel Witcomb. A lovable Baby Bear puppet adds sparkle to the ensemble cast, all highly skilled performers and musicians. Director Sarah Brigham and Composer Ivan Stott reprise their roles from last year’s The Gingerbread Man.
Hiccup Theatre are known for creating energetic, imaginative and delightful theatre for children which celebrates storytelling and a sense of play. In this show they stage their dedication to exploration, imagination and the celebration of difference.
Tickets for six 10am performances are £10, 33% cheaper than standard price, helping uphold Jacksons Lane’s commitment to keeping theatre accessible to all.
Jacksons Lane’s Artistic Director Adrian Berry says:
“I can’t wait to have this truly brilliant company back for Christmas with one of the funniest and most charming family shows I’ve seen. They are committed to making family theatre which – above all – is entertaining and enchanting, and their craftmanship is beyond compare. What a treat for north London!”
