Shining a light on Nordic theatre and culture, New Nordics Festival brings together five days of the best new plays from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands – both live and digital.
Shows about climate change, fir trees, garages, loneliness, cows… and IKEA.
The festival is full of funny, dark and explosive plays, each giving a glimpse of the countries they come from.
In March 2020, New Nordics Festival was supposed to open in London for the very first time. Now Cut the Cord Theatre bring back their week-long celebration of international skills-exchange and their selection of new plays from the Nordic region.
We think it’s time to shine a light on contemporary Nordic theatre, with some of the best upcoming talent from the UK.
