Heeramandi

Heeramandi is a bold, immersive cultural experience that draws you into a world rarely seen and often misunderstood. 

From the moment the evening begins at 7.30pm, you are no longer just an audience member. You are part of the unfolding story. Still in the foyer, you will be gently led by the cast into the theatre, where courtesans greet you with a smile, a wink, a glimmer of possibility, freedom or desire. Engage if you wish, or simply observe. There is no single way to experience Heeramandi. 

Expect classical Indian dance, pole, Hijra performance, live Qawwali, musicians, monologues and DJ Bobby Friction, all woven into a rich sensory landscape, with the scent of fresh jasmine and paan welcoming you in. 

Leave expectations of conventional theatre behind. Let your imagination wander, and allow yourself to be provoked, surprised and transformed.
