The performance of Duet scheduled to take place on 23 March has been postponed. It will now be performed on Thursday 19 May
H2DANCE is Hanna Gillgren and Heidi Rustgaard, choreographers from Sweden and Norway respectively. After over a decade together, and fearing they were on the brink of a break up, they decided to undergo couples therapy.
Duet is an autobiographical work performed by Hanna and Heidi, and based on their ongoing examination of their relationship.
“The disconnect is funny, sometimes brutal, and always entertaining.” The Guardian
The work, a collaboration with Wendy Houstoun, dissects the double act, the notions of being a twosome, its power struggles and compromises.
“A slickly crafted, comic double act based on choreographers Hanna Gillgren and Heidi Rustgaard going into couples therapy, which punctures silliness with knife-in-the-stomach reality” The Evening Standard
Winner of the The Place Prize for Dance, Audience prize in 2013, Duet is a modern classic, still as powerfully emotional as when it was first created.
“A sharp piece of comedy couples counselling, done with wit and neat timing, it touched some raw nerves in the audience but did it with a smile on its face” Metro
