This May we are bringing three very different Catalan circus companies to Jacksons Lane as part of the Spotlight on Catalan Culture in the UK festival.
From world-renowned clown Leandre, bringing their new company Leandre Clown for mischief and fun, to extraordinary acrobalancers Circ Pistolet, who’ll be leading us back to happy childhood memories, and a tribute to love and loss with the darkly comic work of Sílvia Capell, Circ Català brings the very best of Catalan Circus to London this spring.
N’importe Quoi (No matter what)
4 & 5 May
Leandre, one of the best international contemporary clowns, brings new show based around his troupe.
Using Chinese pole, live music performed right on stage, and with a wolf for a dancing partner, Homenaje is a tribute to love and loss.
Quan no Tocàvem de Peus a Terra (Without Feet on the Ground)
Within a simple, geometric set, two friends delve back into their memories, returning to a time of evenings filled with games while using acrobatic balances.
Part of Spotlight on Catalan Culture in the UK, an arts and culture festival taking place from March to June 2022 organised by the Institut Ramon Llull.
