Jacksons Lane at 40

Thu 29 Jan 10AM

This year Jacksons Lane turns 40. We reopened our landmark Grade 2 listed building on the Archway Road to the public as an arts and cultural hub for North London in 1975, and in 2015 we are celebrating our 40th anniversary.
Over four decades we've been a flagship for all that is great about the arts in London. It seems that everyone has their own Jacksons Lane; a personal story or history, whether it’s Eddie Izzard starting his career on our comedy course in the 1980s, a first theatre experience as a child, or the beginnings of a career for a new circus performer – literally hundreds of thousands of people from all backgrounds and of all ages have passed through our doors. So – we want to celebrate our birthday with you!
Throughout 2015 we’ll be celebrating the success of the artists we have worked with over the years, and sharing our stories with you. There’ll be lots of exciting events and opportunities to join in. There’ll be famous faces, brand new commissions, shows, films, activities, workshops, exhibitions, memories and much, much more.
If you would like to share your memories of Jacksons Lane over the years, we’d love to hear from you – please email us on birthday@jacksonslane.org.uk
Thank you for playing your part in our history and our future. Come and be a part of the celebrations for our 40th Birthday at Jacksons Lane!
