Half Term Activities for Young People
Mon 23 Jan 4PM
Press Release
Jacksons Lane is offering a solution to stressed parents looking for activities to keep their children and teenagers entertained this February Half Term. The multi-art form venue is putting on two arts based courses for young people aged 11+ from Monday 13 February until Friday 17 February.
The first, Show in a Week: Arabian Nights is an inclusive project for young people of all abilities in which participants can devise and perform a production and work together as an ensemble. Run by Jacksons Lane and Haringey Shed, the week long course offers young people the chance to make new friends, learn innovative techniques and have fun as they are invited to put their own mark on the classic Arabian Nights tales.
If throwing shapes on the dance floor is of greater appeal, Jacksons Lane is teaming up with Give into Dance for a fresh and funky course focusing on street dance, break dance and hip hop. Get into Dance promises new choreography and expert dance tutors, and it is suitable for all abilities.
Both courses are priced at £90 and take place from Monday – Friday during half term, 10am – 4pm (lunch is included).
Thanks to the generous support of our funders, we have we have a limited number of full scholarships available for low income families. For more information about how to qualify for a scholarship, please call 020 8347 2417.
These opportunities have been made possible thanks to the generous support of John Lyon’s Charity, Hornsey Parochial Charity and the Tottenham Grammar School Foundation.
Participants looking to register their interest should call Jacksons Lane’s Box Office on 020 8341 4421.
