Adrian Berry's Spring 2012 Preview
Fri 3 Feb 11AM
Science, soul, circus and rock-stardom are the big themes of our Spring 2012 programme at Jacksons Lane.
We've just kicked off our new season with a sci-fi, culture-clash of quantum physics and avant-garde circus in Sugar Beast's sell-out success Event Dimension. Later on in the season, we continue our science-tastic theme with the brilliant Unlimited Theatre's The Ethics of Progress - prepare for some mind-expanding, brain-enhancing theories!
Musically, we explore Northern Soul with Victoria Melody - plus a little pigeon fancying along the way, and invite you to get kick-ass with Action Hero's epic Frontman - like the last gig on earth with some real geek-fan moments for those who spot the references.
Children and families seeking their next music-filled adrenaline rush should look no further than Arcade Fire associate Kid Carpet and his Noisy Animals with their 'punk for kids', fist-pumping gigs. No gobbing please, mum and dad.
Finally we're thrilled to be part of the Roundhouse's Circus Fest, with two co-productions - Stumble danceCircus' Box of Frogs and our fantastic Associate Artists So & So's Backgammon for Beginners. It's circus as you've never seen it before.
That's just a mere glimmer of what's on offer. Check out the rest of our season at North London's Creative Space. Turn on, tune in, drop by....
